About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with expertise in electrical systems and a background in manufacturing equipment and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and machinery in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot issues, ensure equipment operates efficiently, and support preventative maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
Electrical System Maintenance
ï‚· Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and power distribution in manufacturing equipment.
ï‚· Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, and control panels.
ï‚· Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company regulations.
ï‚· Diagnose and repair electrical faults in production machinery to minimize downtime.
ï‚· Collaborate with the engineering team to upgrade and optimize electrical systems.
Manufacturing Equipment and Maintenance
ï‚· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
ï‚· Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
ï‚· Maintain detailed maintenance logs and equipment service records.
ï‚· Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and resolving recurring equipment issues.
ï‚· Work with the maintenance team to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
Safety and Compliance
ï‚· Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
ï‚· Conduct safety checks on electrical systems and machinery to prevent hazards.
ï‚· Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Diploma or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Minor or coursework in Manufacturing Equipment and Maintenance.
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with maintenance management systems and tools
Preferred Skills
ï‚· Experience with CNC machines, robotics, and automated production lines.
ï‚· Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs.
ï‚· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
ï‚· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and multimeters.
ï‚· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
